The congress programme comprises 4 days in 13 halls including 2 streams available for 1 year (Festsaal – On demand, London 1 – Live). A further 13 rooms stay ready for satellite and academy programme.

The congress languages are German and English (according to the session or lecture title). Various apps (e.g. DeepLGoogleApple) can be used for translation with earphones.

22 academies are helping to shape the DKOU 2026 academy programme. The courses are divided into three categories: “Free & open access” for accessible professional development, “Innovative & interactive” for new formats with a strong practical focus, and “Popular & proven” for much-sought-after classics.

Accepted abstracts will be published in PUBLISSO, where they can be cited, and cash prizes will be awarded for the best abstracts.
